Hardly any shooter is unfamiliar with the P365 pistol family from SIG Sauer. Since its inception, the P365 pattern has made every list of the best concealed carry pistols. Not really surprising as the pistol packs a lot of great features, most of which you can read about in our recent articles.revision P365.

But although the weapon looked perfect, it wasyour problemsand actually drew some serious criticism. A big downside of the P365 was the fact that it wasn't really optics compatible. And that's exactly why SIG Sauer has given birth to the pistol's "big brother" - the SIG P365XL.

Exactly as mentioned in our.P365XL-Tests, this optically equipped semi-automatic is a compromise between size, firepower and utility. Also, it doesn't have the issues that the original P365 struggled with. But like everything else, this model is not without its flaws. Today we are going to see the main problems of the SIG P365XL and try to find the solutions.

Problema # 1: Problemas com SIG P365XL Pinky Extension Mag

The P365 XL comes with a built-in 12+1 race magazine with a 9x19mm magazine. SIG Sauer also provides pistol users with a 12-round magazine with a small extension. And some of those reviews have raised concerns among P365XL users.

A few months ago (mid-2021) a Reddit user started ahilodiscussion of this topic. "I recently purchased a P365XL Romeo Zero and also purchased (2) Pinky 12 extension magazines for the gun. When I received the magazines and assembled them, for whatever reason the magazine did not fit in the gun. My stock dump magazines are locked in instead both fully loaded and empty but it looks like these new journals had a bug (unless I plugged in the wrong extension but there seems to be only one way to install it) Is anyone else having this issue?

Several people responded to the concerns and helped make the thread realize that I had in fact purchased extended magazines for the standard P365 pistol: "These are magazines for the p365 (short grip), not the p365xl. You can convert them to XL magazines buying an XL motherboard". So it's safe to say that the P365XL's extended magazines don't pose any real problems. You only need to buy chargers for the XL model, not the base model.

The main feature that separates the XL model from the P365 standard is its natural compatibility with most optical equipment. And most P365XL owners bought the pistol with one goal in mind: carrying a solid CCW weapon that's easy to attach to a red dot sight.

SIG Sauer offers a package that includes the pistol and its most popular optical device: theROMEOZero™ Reflexpunktvisier. However, as our friend Kent fromthe gun snob(YouTube channel) finally received his P365XL + Romeo Zero combo, he couldn't zero the vision at all. The gun continued to fire a few inches below what he would have liked. Kent complains that the crosshairs aren't factory reset, which is an understandable concern.

However, does this mean there is cause for concern? Really no. Of course, it's not very good, but in Kent's experience, a call to the GIS should do the trick. He got his SIG back within a week and the pistol and scope have been in perfect working order ever since.

So if the same thing happens to you, don't panic, chooseclose customer serviceand let her take care of the rest. yes and don't forgetWatch Kent's videoif you want to know more about his experience with the SIG P365 XL Romeo Zero.

Meanwhile, almost all P365XL owners are more than satisfied with their pistol. This means that it is very unlikely that all of the above problems will occur. And you probably won't even find any of them (especially if you decide not to get a red dot scope). However, I'm sure you'll have a serious problem: finding the right holster for your GIS.

However, this problem is easily resolved. The secret behind a solid P365XL holster is that it is custom built to meet all major pistol specifications. And it allP365XL these capesthey are made just that way.

But how to choose the right one? Well, that depends. As the pistol is quite small (only 6.6 inches long and 1.1 inches wide), it can be carried comfortably in a P365XL.PDIoappendixSheath. If you live in a state with strict CCW laws, you should opt for this type of holster.

If you are allowed to use open, SIG P365XLOWBCovers are the obvious choice. Although these holsters are worn off the waist, you can easily hide them under a jacket or coat, and since the gun is quite slim, no one will even notice you're wearing it. I wouldn't recommend shoulder holsters for the standard P365, but the XL model is slightly larger, which means it will fit nicely in any of these P365XLs.shoulderBackground.

Problem #4: Rear view issues on SIG P365Xl

As mentioned above, the P365XL is an optical gun. What does this means? First, it frees you from a tedious task: finding the right Red Dot platform. Second, the gun's slide is milled, allowing for easy installation of virtually any optical device.

However, if you choose to mount a red dot sight, you will run into problems. Well, it's not really a problem per se, or at least it has nothing to do with the P365XL's hardware. However, if you decide to install a red dot or reflective sight on your SIG, you will find that "the rear iron sights are part of the plate that must be removed to install a red dot". This fact was emphasized inSIG P365XL-Test der Gun University, which you should definitely read if you want some hands-on experience before purchasing this excellent CCW pistol.

How to solve a seemingly insoluble problem? Well, Ryan of Gun University (creator of the Internet and former special ops shooter) suggests that there are certain optics that have built-in rear sights. And he strongly recommends using Shield RMSc. However, he adds that most other manufacturers don't have built-in sighting devices, meaning that "if your red dot fails, you can do without a replacement sight if needed." (University of weapons)

Another way to improve your pistol's accuracy and/or aim is to combine it with one of these weapons.tactical lights and lasersfor the P365XL.
